Pacific Women Lead Enabling Services (PWLES)

DFAT intends to approach the market for a managing contractor to implement Pacific Women Lead Enabling Services (PWLES), the technical and operational support, and monitoring, evaluation and learning component of Pacific Women Lead (PWL).

PWL is Australia's flagship portfolio to advance gender equality in the Pacific. It seeks to ensure 'Pacific women and girls, in all their diversity are safe and equitably share in resources, opportunities and decision-making, with men and boys'.

PWL has following areas of focus:

  • women's leadership
  • women's rights (women's health, including sexual and reproductive health)
  • women's safety (i.e., ending violence against women and girls; and women's economic empowerment)
  • regional gender equality efforts.

It is anticipated that DFAT will approach the market in the fourth quarter of 2025. The proposed procurement will be published on AusTender and updates on the status of the procurement can be found on the Development Procurement Pipeline.
