The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has, in consultation with the Government of PNG, undertaken a design for the next phase of Governance support to PNG. Building on its years of experience delivering Governance activities and programs, the proposed new delivery model will offer a more comprehensive, efficient, flexible and coherent modality for delivering governance programs to PNG under challenging and complex conditions.
The design has been developed in the context of expected Australian Government support to prioritise improved governance in PNG. Future support to Governance in PNG will be centered around four main pillars: , assistance to core government functions, encouraging private sector development, facilitating community development and resilience, and supporting leadership and coalitions.
Attached is the draft investment design. The final design will be released as part of request for tender documentation.
