Celebrating First Nations cultures – Chile x Australia

The Australian Embassy in Chile recently marked 80 years of Australia–Chile bilateral relations with a special celebration that coincided with the winter solstice. This brought together First Nations designers, such as Kirrikin a luxury First Nations Australian fashion brand, artists, and creators from both countries, fostering cultural dialogue around textile art, fashion, history, music, and audiovisual productions. The exchanges focused on strengthening people-to-people links, demonstrating the importance of supporting Indigenous economic empowerment. Such initiatives highlight the growing opportunities for trade, collaboration, and cross-border economic exchange between Indigenous businesses in both countries.

The Australian Government's Professional Placements Program, funded by DFAT under Invested: Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, is now open.
