Successful grant recipients from the COALAR 2025-26 grant round

This report outlines the key activities and impact of the Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) from February 2024 to June 2025. During this period, COALAR successfully delivered the 2024–25 grant round, engaged extensively across priority sectors, and supported strategic initiatives that strengthened Australia’s ties with Latin America. Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) grants 2024-25

The Australian Government is concerned by this week’s political developments in Venezuela, including with regard to the Presidential inauguration on 10 January 2025.

The objectives of the program are to promote people-to-people links and a contemporary and positive image of Australia, and support Australia’s international policy goals.

It is a condition of COALAR grant funding that recipients fully acquit the funds received. Grant moneys should be acquitted within 60 days of the completion of a project through the submission of a completed Acquittal report including a financial statement of expenditure through SmartyGrants.
