Assistant Minister for Trade Senator the Hon Tim Ayres represented Australia at the Third Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) Ministers’ Meeting held in Vientiane, Laos on 22 September in the sidelines of the 56th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting.
RCEP Ministers noted progress on the establishment of the RCEP Support Unit (RSU) and welcomed the adoption of the Procedures for Accession to the RCEP Agreement by the RCEP Joint Committee.
RCEP Ministers issued a Joint Media Statement reaffirming that RCEP is an open and inclusive regional agreement.
