Singapore and Australia Look to Advance Common Measures on the Green Economy

Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS) have produced a short article on their collaborative efforts on developing a set of common indicators to measure the green economy. This important collaboration is being advanced under the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement (GEA).

General information

Purpose

Statistical measurement of the green economy is an initiative under the Singapore-Australia GEA. Both countries are working together to improve data measurement and statistical capacity on environmental-economic measures, including but not limited to environmental goods and services, energy, and air emissions, and integrate relevant data into our national statistical products. For more information on this initiative, refer to GEA Annex B 6.4.
