Australia is continuing to lead efforts to assist our Pacific Island neighbours to access additional financing to address the impacts of climate change.
A $2.3 million partnership with Germany's aid agency, GIZ, will assist Pacific Island countries to better access and manage global climate finance, with a focus on the Green Climate Fund.
This program will provide assistance in formulating, costing and presenting projects to the Green Climate Fund and other sources of support, to ensure Governments in our region can secure the financing they need to build a pipeline of innovative, practical climate projects.
