General Committee today recommended inclusion of Indonesian
question on Agenda. Vote 11 to 1 (Belgium) with United Kingdom and
France abstaining. Move to postpone decision on ground that
preliminary talks were about to commence was defeated 10 to 4
(United Kingdom, France, Canada, Belgium).
2. Committee recommended that admission of Israel should be
considered by Plenary Assembly without reference to Committee.
Lebanon, Iran and United Kingdom opposed. Australia abstained.
