Your D1080 [1] and subsequent telegrams. [2]
1. Australian Government accepts the proposal for an early British
Commonwealth conference on civil aviation at the official level.
2. United States Government by a Note [3] delivered to the
Australian Minister at Washington has asked the Australian
Government to furnish information concerning our tentative plans
for International air routes. We propose to reply that we are not
in a position to supply Australian plans and that we would prefer
to have these discussed at the United Nations conference it is
proposed to hold later this year. Before doing so we would
appreciate your comments.
