Despatch 84, Secret, from British Consul-General, Batavia, to
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs , of which copy was sent
His Majesty's Charge d'Affaires, Tokyo , reports that Japanese
representative  left for Lisbon late in June to negotiate about
trade in Timor. I should be glad to learn whether His Majesty's
Government in the Commonwealth of Australia desire that any action
should be taken by His Majesty's Ambassador at Lisbon  in
connection with any of the suggestions contained in the concluding
paragraph of the despatch under reference.
