Summary of publication
This is a Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining report on a 2011 workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on the development and application of efficient land release practices. DFAT supported this workshop.
The workshop, attended 120 participants from 15 countries, aimed to foster interest and discussion from mine/explosive remnants of war (ERW)-affected countries on enhanced operational approaches to land release (that is, back to civilian populations). Various mine/ERW-affected countries shared theoretical and practical lessons learnt. The report briefly outlines the workshop's purpose and objectives, lists participants and describes follow-up activities.
