Cambodia Criminal Justice Assistance Project—2008 Annual Report

Summary of publication

This is the first Annual Performance Report (APR) for the Cambodia Criminal Justice Assistance Project Phase III (CCJAP) and it details project progress from February to December 2007.

In preparing this report, it is important to reflect on the Royal Government of Cambodia and Australia's strategy for this Phase of assistance. It was agreed that Phase III of CCJAP would actively promote donor coordination and harmonisation, take an integrated approach to law and justice, work collaboratively with Australian whole of government partners and formulate clear strategies for addressing corruption.

It would also focus on issues impacting on juvenile justice and the needs of other vulnerable groups such as women and children and promote the key principles of the aid effectiveness agenda, including working within the scope of Cambodian Government priorities and using local systems to plan for and (wherever possible) deliver donor supported activities.

The Report includes a breakdown of all components, project goal and purpose and summary.
