Summary of publication

This is an Asian Development Bank design document describing the context and rationale behind the Southern Coastal Corridor Project. The project aims to promote economic growth in the project area and the Greater Mekong Subregion by strengthening connectivity with neighbouring countries and increasing competitiveness. The outcome of the Project will be to reduce transport times and costs on the Greater Mekong Region Southern Coastal Corridor, and promote more efficient movement of passengers and goods within the project area and between mekong countries, including Vietnam.
