Call for Applications: Project Childhood - Prevention Pillar (PCPP)

AusAID is seeking an Implementing Partner to undertake the following development program in Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam.

The Project Childhood - Prevention Pillar aims to enhace the effectiveness of child protection in Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam. Consistent with Australia's commitment the child protection and upholding human rights, an implementing Partner is sought
to contribute to the prevention of child sexual exploitation committed by travelling child-sex offenders in these countries. This objective will be achieved through the following outcomes:

  • Increased resilience of vulnerable communities against child sex tourism (CST);
  • National government provision of effective and coordinated CST Hotlines;
  • Increased general public and private sector involvement in responses, including through reporting of suspicious behaviour; and
  • National government development and implementation of CST prevention activities.

It is anticipated that the program will commence in November 2010 and will continue over four years to 2014.

Selection will be on a one-step basis.
