Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES) - Call for submissions

Notification

25-May-2010

AusAID is launching a new Australian Non-Government Organisation (NGO) program in Africa, called the Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES). In line with AusAID's Africa program, AACES aims to contribute to measurable outcomes for people in
three priority sectors: water and sanitation, women and children's health, and food security.

AACES follows the success of the Australian Partnerships with African Communities (APAC) program.

Partnership Agreements will be developed and will harness the different approaches of NGOs and build on their unique strengths in relation to their long-term experience, capacity and linkages with partner organisations and communities in specific countries.
Opportunities for innovation, adaptation and collaboration will be outlined within each specific partnership agreement as they are developed, and Australian NGOs are encouraged to proactively indicate such opportunities where possible.

An annual work program, to be supported through the AACES partnership, will be developed with the successful Australian NGOs following the selection process.
