Marking the 40th Anniversary of the Australia Group in 2025, the participants wish to acknowledge declarations of Unilateral Adherence from Albania and Montenegro.
We commend Albania and Montenegro on their commitment to global non-proliferation efforts. Their respective declarations to implement Australia Group Common Control Lists and Guidelines send a strong message about both Albania’s and Montenegro’s determination to prevent the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons.
Albania and Montenegro join Kazakhstan as formal Unilateral Adherents to the Australia Group. We encourage all countries to utilise the publicly available Australia Group Common Control Lists and Guidelines, which set the benchmark for global best practice on chemical and biological export controls.
We welcome Albania and Montenegro to the Australia Group as Unilateral Adherents and look forward to working together to prevent the spread of chemical and biological weapons.
