New DFAT publication launched to share market insights with Australian business
The first edition of a new DFAT publication, Business Envoy, is now available for public download. "The bi-monthly Business Envoy will better inform Australian business on the economic and market implications of geopolitical events and trends" said Trade Minister Robb at the launch of the publication.

Following a successful visit to New Zealand last week, Minister Robb led a business delegation to Canada this week. "Australia is increasing its integration in Asia and consequently we provide a stable gateway for countries like Canada seeking to access the exploding middle class of our region," Mr Robb said.

Australia a world leader in SmartGate technology
The use of SmartGate by travellers entering Australia has increased substantially. From 11 December 2014 to 22 February 2015, 1.5 million travellers entered Australia using SmartGate. Australia is a world leader in this technology, with over 18.5 million international travellers using SmartGate since its inception in 2007.

Fifty years of Australia's trade
DFAT's Composition of Trade (CoT) publication is celebrating its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion, DFAT reflects on the past 50 years of Australian trade. When the first CoT was released, trade was the equivalent of 29% of Australia's economy. Today trade is the equivalent of 42% of the economy.
