Project description

ChildFund Pass It Back is an innovative and award winning Sport for Development program led by ChildFund in partnership with World Rugby and Asia Rugby. The program aims to equip children and young people in Asia to overcome challenges, inspire positive social change and 'pass it back' to their communities.

ChildFund is the principal Charity Partner for the Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan, and in the lead up to this major international sporting event, ChildFund and Asia Rugby are working together to provide children and young people in Japan, Australia and other countries in Asia the opportunity to participate in a series of integrated tag rugby, life skills and cultural exchange events in Japan.

The participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people from Australia is the result of a partnership between ChildFund and the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA), an organisation working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to create a strength-based, culturally strong environment that ultimately results in Indigenous Australians realising a level of health and prosperity on par with other Australians.
