Australia-China Emerging Leaders Summit (Beijing 2018)

  • Sector: Education
  • Country location: Australia, China
  • Grantee: Australia-China Youth Association

Project summary

The Australia-China Emerging Leaders Summit (ACELS) Beijing in 2018 will bring together 70 young leaders and scholars from across China and Australia for three days and empowers them with the skills to become active and engaged leaders in the bilateral relationship.

The Summit is held annually in Australia and in China, and delegates engage with a range of issues in the Australia-China space by hearing from business, diplomatic, cultural and academic experts in seminars, and then gain the skills and confidence to discuss and network in these spaces through workshops.

For Australian delegates based in China and local Chinese delegates alike, the Summit is an opportunity to build cultural literacy and share nuanced and varied perspectives seldom presented beyond domestic forums.
