LinkMatchLite is licensed solely for use by Australian Government agencies, and by financial institutions within Australia who have been authorised to have access to LinkMatchLite by the Commonwealth of Australia.
The Commonwealth of Australia is prepared to authorise the use of LinkMatchLite at no cost by approved financial institutions within Australia, subject to specified conditions, as set out below.
LinkMatchLite may only be used by financial institutions for the purpose of assisting their investigations into possible transactions involving proscribed persons or entities under the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945, and associated regulations. Any use of LinkMatchLite for other purposes is in breach of the licensing conditions.
The Commonwealth of Australia holds all intellectual property in the LinkMatchLite software application. Copyright in LinkMatchLite, including all source code, documenation and executable programs, remain the property of the Commonwealth of Australia.
The Commonwealth of Australia does not make any undertakings or warranties regarding the use, accuracy or maintenance of LinkMatchLite. The Commonwealth of Australia does not accept any responsibility for any claims of loss, damage, or liability which may arise in relation to the use of LinkMatchLite.
In particular, the Commonwealth is providing LinkMatchLite as a potential tool to assist in its preliminary investigations of possible transactions involving proscribed persons or entities. LinkMatchLite is only an aid to the matching of data, any may not be relied on by financial institutions as a means of meeting their obligations under the Charter of the United Nations Act and associated regulations.
