- Over 250 Australian businesses export goods to Tonga $93 million worth of two-way trade in 2017 (TOP $153 million)
- $27.9 million Official Development Assistance (TOP $46 million 2018-19)
- 153 Australian volunteers since 2011 (31 in 2018-19)

- In response to Tropical Cyclone Gita (February 2018):
- $14 million response and recovery package (TOP $23 million)
- 135 tonnes of emergency supplies
- Over 3,600 elderly and people with disabilities received cash assistance
- 2,000 households provided with emergency shelter assistance
- 3,250 people supported to re-establish livelihoods
- Over 32,000 Tongans (50% women) participated in Australian funded sport for development activities in 2017-18. Sports included Badminton, Soccer, Hockey, Netball, Rugby League and Table Tennis
- Through Tonga Skills, almost 400 people (53% women) received training in tourism, manufacturing, construction, fisheries and agriculture in 2017-18
