During the visit to Australia by Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Australian Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop and Deputy Foreign Minister, Harsha de Silva launched a portrait exhibition highlighting the significant contribution Sri Lankans have made to Australian society.
The photo exhibition showcases just a small representation of the large and vibrant Sri Lankan community that has contributed to Australia's multicultural life.
They represent all Sri Lanka's ethnic groups – Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim and Burghers – and are leaders in their fields – academia, media, culture, literature, science, sport, medicine, government, business and cooking.
