Reflecting the Australian Government’s commitment to advancing opportunities for business, Ms Frances Adamson, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), is hosting a series of Strategic Dialogues with Australian business leaders. The Strategic Dialogues focus on how government and business can work together to face challenges arising from an increasingly complex and contested world. Dialogues have been held in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, and more will be held across Australia throughout 2020. For further background, see the May edition of Business Envoy. Dig Howitt, Chief Executive Officer and President Cochlear Limited, was one of the business leaders attending the Secretary’s Strategic Dialogue with Business in Sydney on 30 July 2019. On this occasion, Ms Jennifer Westacott, Business Council of Australia Chief Executive co-hosted the Dialogue with Secretary Adamson.
