Afghanistan Ending Violence Against Women program: Mid Term Review and Management Response

Summary of publication

Australia's Ending Violence against Women Program ($24.7 million 2013-17) supports efforts to improve services for women affected by violence, increase access to justice, change community attitudes, and advocate for protection of women's rights.

DFAT undertook an independent review of the EVAW program in Afghanistan in 2016 to assess achievements and identify potential ways to improve the EVAW program's impact and sustainability. The review was intended to inform DFAT's future decision-making for the EVAW program and policy dialogue with the Afghan Government and relevant international and non-government stakeholders.
