South Asia Water Security Initiative (SAWASI): Water Sensitive Urban Design Demonstration Projects – New Grant Opportunity
DFAT calls for grant applications for the upcoming South Asia Water Security Initiative (SAWASI) due to commence early 2021. SAWASI Grant Guidelines, an Invitation to Submit a Proposal and an approved Investment Design for the SAWASI program, – are provided for the information of the market and prospective grantees. It is likely that DFAT will require one to two grantees to deliver demonstration projects in India (New Delhi) and Pakistan (tbc).

Applications for India grants must be submitted to DFAT by 5:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 3 December 2020.
Applications for Pakistan grants must be submitted to DFAT by 5:00pm Australian Eastern Standard (AEST) time on 17 December 2020.

Pakistan city
The Government of Pakistan has selected Islamabad plus Rawalpindi for the Pakistan Grant demonstration projects. The Ministry of Water Resources envisages one community in Islamabad and one community in Rawalpindi will benefit from water sensitive cities grants.
