World Trade Organization Doha Round Negotiations
The Doha Round of WTO trade negotiations have been underway since November 2001. The Doha Ministerial Declaration mandates negotiations on a wide range of issues and has a strong focus on development. A Ministerial Conference was held in Hong Kong in December 2005. A Ministerial Meeting was held in Geneva in July 2008.

Under the World Trade Organization (WTO) Doha Round, negotiations are taking place on how to reduce or eliminate tariff and non-tariff barriers on environmental goods and services. In order to ensure that the Australian Government’s future participation in these negotiations reflects the views of all interested stakeholders we are undertaking a round of public consultations.
