Tenders and Other Business Opportunities
The department publishes on this site, tenders and other business opportunities. In line with the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997, the department also publishes on the Australian Government Tender System (AusTender) where appropriate. The department's public tenders are advertised on this site, the Australian Government tender site AusTender and in newspapers to maximise exposure to potential suppliers.

Restricted Tenders
The department occasionally invites tenders from a limited number of suppliers known to be able to supply specific goods and/or services.
There are currently no open Restricted Tenders.
Expressions of Interest, Pre-Tender Notices, Other
From time to time the department may request indications of interest from potential suppliers as part of a tender process or may publish details of upcoming tenders.
Senate Order on Government Agency Contracts
Departmental contracts with the value of $100,000 or more which have not been fully performed or were entered into during the 12 month reporting period.
Consultancy services
Detailed information, including a summary of the department’s policy on the selection and engagement of consultants and a detailed list of all consultancy contracts let during the year to the value of $10,000 or more, is available in an appendix to the Department's Annual Report.
Annual Procurement Plan
The department publishes an Annual Procurement Plan, comprising of major planned procurement to be undertaken in the forthcoming financial year.
Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines
The department’s procurement and contracting activities are conducted in accordance with the principle of value for money as per the Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines.
