DFAT08-SWE-029 - Request for Tender for the provision of staffing, retail and operations services for the Australian pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010 in China
Addendum 9: 2 September 2008
Q1. In relation to the two retail areas we request that DFAT provide more detail on the level of fit out. For instance is it intended that these areas be handed over with access to air-conditioning, extraction, base lighting, access to 3 phase power, access to hot water, basic emergency equipment, etc.
A1. The attached room data sheets show the current plan (subject to the current market testing exercise) for the finishes of all areas of the pavilion. The room data sheets include reference to drawing 601 which details wall types - this drawing is also attached. Provision for air-conditioning, extraction, power, gas, hot and cold water and drainage (including grease separation) has been made in the pavilion design however the services are all terminated at the edge of the retail areas i.e. the distribution of the services within the retail space is the responsibility of the successful Tenderer. No provision has been made for lighting or emergency equipment (including any distributed fire-sprinkler system). The fitout of the retail areas and associated coordination issues will require early and careful coordination with DFAT and the CETO contractor to ensure that the most efficient outcome is achieved.
