DFAT08-SWE-025 - RFT for the provision of construction, exhibition and technical operations services for the Australian pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) seeks to engage a high quality service provider to work with DFAT to refine and execute the existing design of the Australian pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. The Australian pavilion will showcase Australia and provide a platform for associated business, communications and cultural programs. The successful tenderer will be capable of providing a range of construction, exhibition and technical operations services and associated project management to build and maintain the Australian pavilion at the Expo. The successful tenderer will have the capacity to implement an Australian design in a Chinese environment.
Conditions of Participation:
Tenderers must demonstrate compliance with the following Conditions of Participation:
(a) the Tenderer must not be banned from entering or working in People’s Republic of China, or employ or contract with any persons convicted in the People’s Republic of China;
(b) the Tenderer (or any of its proposed subcontractors) must not be named as not complying with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 (Cwlth);
(c) Tenderer (or any of its proposed subcontractors) must not be named on the list of persons and entities designated as terrorists under the Charter of United Nations (Dealing with Assets) Regulations 2008;
(d) the Tenderer must not be bankrupt or insolvent, and must be financially viable;
(e) the Tenderer must state any circumstances or relationships which constitute or may constitute a conflict or potential conflict of interest in relation to this RFT or the Tenderer’s obligations under any contract resulting from this RFT;
(f) the Tenderer must not make false or misleading claims or statements, obtain confidential information, receive improper assistance, or engage in collusive tendering, anti-competitive conduct or other similar conduct with any other Tenderer or other person in relation to the preparation or lodgement of Tenders; and
(g) the Tenderer must have relevant prior experience in the provision or supply of the type of Services and Additional Services as required by this RFT.
Other Information:
An industry briefing outlining DFAT’s requirements for this Request for Tender (RFT) will be held at the DFAT offices on Monday 30 June 2008. The briefing will take place at the R.G Casey Building, Barton ACT at 10:00 a.m.
