Additional Information to RFT documentation
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) wishes to advise all potential Tenderers that the following information applies to the above Request for Tender (RFT).

Workstation starter sockets and soft wiring
Several tenderers requested confirmation of the soft wiring configuration to the workstations. Refer below for the response:
- The workstations are dual circuited (eg: one double socket outlet (grey) connected to normal mains power. The other double socket outlet (red) connected to generator circuit, as per the drawings.
- Tenderers are to reuse existing socket outlets where practical (note that the majority of work stations should be able to be connected to existing starter socket outlets).
- Tenderers are to provide two new starter socket outlets where required for additional (not existing) workstations banks and sockets to allow for dual circuited workstations to mains and generator circuits as described above.
CCTV and Security
The new CCTV and Duress button is to match the existing system.
Tenderers are to make an allowance of 20m separation between recorder and camera and provide a unit rate for each additional meter required.
The location of the alarm security panel is denoted by the boxed PP symbol on the power drawing.
The DVR must be compatible with both the existing security system and the new CCTV camera.
RCD’s to electrical switchboard
The RCD’s to be installed are to be compatible with the existing circuit breakers and must be compliant with the Australian Standards for lighting circuits and power circuits respectively. The compliance requirements must be satisfied.
Glazing Film
Tenderers are to allow a PC Sum of $7,500 excl GST over and above the allowances made in the tender for frosted glazing film.
Blinds
Contractors are advised to substitute the specified Verosol blind fabric with a Luxaflex “Ultraview” fabric. Colour TBA.
The existing blind track system is to remain and new vertical are to be installed.

Tenderers are advised that all other terms and conditions of the RFT remain unchanged.
The closing time for lodgement of tenders is 2:00pm (VIC Local Time) on Friday 30 May 2008.
