Selection Criteria
A. Qualifications and knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of accrual accounting and budgeting principles and standards.
- Understanding of the principles and practices of financial management. Awareness of corporate management issues.
- Completion of a Bachelor degree, with a major or minor sequence in accounting, by the end of 2008.
- An understanding of, and interest in, the work and goals of the department.
B. Written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to communicate orally with a range of audiences.
- Effective consultation, liaison and negotiation skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with and influence people of different cultural backgrounds.
C. Conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to analyse corporate and financial management issues in context and, accordingly, to develop practical recommendations.
