Pivot tables
An accompanying range of tables for DFAT’s Composition of Trade and Trade in Primary and Manufactured Products publications have been released in pivot table format using MS Excel, a tool that enables users to easily access trade time series data. All users with access to MS Excel 2007 or 2010 will be able to download the pivot tables.
Australia's exports and imports by all countries by the United Nations' Standard International Trade Classification revision 4 (SITCr4) at the 3-digit level. Yearly time series data is available from 2005-06 to 2010-11.

Australia's exports and imports by all countries by DFAT's Trade Import Export Classification (TRIEC) at the 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-digit levels — ie trade data by Primary products and Manufactured products such as Simply transformed manufactures (STM) and Elaborately transformed manufactures(ETM). Export data is also split between total exports and Australian produced exports. Yearly time series data is available from 1989-90 to 2010-11.

The pivot tables released in conjunction with these publications have been user tested and internally tested for functionally, however it is still considered to be a ‘test’ version. The Department would appreciate feedback on these products. Please email comments to statssection@dfat.gov.au.
