I understand that United States are disinclined to join United Kingdom in latter's current representations at The Hague re bad features of Beel plan [1] and for Dutch to fulfil Security Council resolution [2] and their public undertakings because of risks United States see in giving Dutch any impression that Beel plan can be recognised as in any sense alternative to Security Council resolution.
