Head of Pacific Division informed me this morning that after consultation with Ministry of Colonies France would be glad to be associated with Commission though in their formal reply they would maintain the point raised by Mr. Bidault with Dr. Evatt [1] namely that in the official invitation they would like reference to political development omitted.
