208 Cabinet Minute
Minute 10 CANBERRA, 7 September 1939
INTERNATIONAL SITUATION
The Minister for External Affairs [1] read cables on the international position. The question was again raised by Mr Spender [2] as to the necessity of Cabinet's indicating to the British Government the need for reopening negotiations with Japan.
After discussion it was decided that a cable be despatched to the British Government intimating our apprehension as to the position in the East. [3]
