This report highlights the active role APEC has played in addressing counter terrorism issues, particularly as they impact upon regional and global trade. It examines the experiences of individual APEC economies in securing their trade, with a view to identifying best practices that may assist others in the design and development of their responses. In many cases signifi cant trade facilitation benefi ts have accrued from the application of counter terrorism measures.
