Status of current selection exercises

The following selection exercises are currently under way in DFAT. The status of these will be updated regularly as each selection exercise progresses.

• Short-listing: The selection committee is assessing applications and contacting referees to determine which candidates will proceed through to the interview stage.*
• Interviewing: The selection committee is interviewing shortlisted candidates (either in person or by phone).*
• Finalising report: The selection committee is finalising its recommendations to the delegate, once approved offers of employment will be made.

* Due to the volume of applications received for vacancies, a selection committee may choose to complete the shortlisting and interviewing stages concurrently. Applicants should not assume that they have not been shortlisted for an interview if the status shows 'shortlisting/interviewing'. Formal email notification will be sent advising a candidate if they have been unsuccessful in progressing to the interview stage.
