Shaun Gladwell
Shaun Gladwell is one of Australia's hottest young contemporary artists. Gladwell was born in 1972 and is based in Sydney, New South Wales. Gladwell is a digital artist who combines the past and present in street-culture. His video installation takes elements such as skateboarding and BMX riding and combines them with past artistic genres (i.e.: 19th century landscape painting). Gladwell will produce new work that utilizes break dancing and skateboarding to investigate the physical and psychological dynamics of urban environments. Gladwell recently completed studies at Goldsmith's College, University of London after completing three months at the Citè in Paris. Gladwell continues to represent Australian video art to an engaged International audience. Shaun is represented by Sherman Galleries, Sydney
