Strike A Chord - The Science of Music, an exciting and innovative science education exhibition presented in cooperation with Questacon (Australia's National Science and Technology Centre) and PP-IPTEK (Indonesia's National Science and Technology Centre), is due to open in Indonesia at PP-IPTEK, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah from 1 December 2009 - 31 March 2010.

This exhibition will celebrate the universal language of music and allow participants to learn about the science of sound in a fun and interactive way. The newly appointed Indonesian State Minister for Research and Technology, Drs H Suharna Surapranata, will launch the opening on 1 December 2009. As part of this launch, there will be performances from one of Indonesia's most talented guitarists I Wayan Balawan and the unique and energetic Jakarta percussion band Kuno Kini. Kuno Kini will also, as part of this exhibition, conduct workshops for hundreds of students from schools in the Jakarta area in January 2010.

Strike A Chord gives the two countries an important opportunity to work together to strengthen cultural and educational links and provide the Indonesian public with a new and exciting hands-on exhibition.
