Indonesian Jazz lovers were amazed by the performance of internationally renowned Australian jazz musician Michelle Nicolle with her band on JakJazz Festival 28 – 29 November 2008.

Audiences at the JakJazz Festival in Istora Senayan Jakarta were captured by Michelle’s magical voice and beautiful music played by Geoff Hughes (guitar), Tom Lee (double bass) and Ronny Ferella (drums). 

Arranger, band leader and award-winning jazz vocalist Michelle Nicolle started her musical career when she began studying the violin at the age of eight in the famous wine region of the Barossa Valley in South Australia in the 1970s. Now based in Melbourne, she is celebrated as one of Australia's finest jazz singers.

At the 1998 Wangaratta International Jazz Festival Michelle won the prestigious National Jazz Award and also was the recipient the Australian entertainment industry's Mo Award -Jazz Vocalist of the Year 2001, 2003 and 2004.
