Australia's action to combat international terrorism

The terrorist attacks in the United States on 11 September 2001 and the bombings in Bali on 12 October 2002 highlighted the need for action by the international community to combat terrorism. In conjunction with our regional partners and other countries, Australia is playing a leading role in both the Asia-Pacific region and more broadly in the global fight against terrorism.
