Mr John McAnulty

Biography

Mr McAnulty is a senior career officer of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). He was until recently Minister-Counsellor (Management) and Consul-General, Australian Embassy, Beijing, a position he held from December 2008.

Mr McAnulty has served as Minister-Counsellor (Management) and Consul General, Australian Embassy Washington (2005-08) and Counsellor (Management) later Minister Counsellor and Consul General, Australian Embassy Jakarta (1998-2002) with earlier postings to Suva, Honolulu, Riyadh, Geneva, Beirut, Belgrade and Manila.

Mr McAnulty joined the then Department of External Affairs in 1970. He is married with one child.
