Biography

Ms Vegting is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and most recently was Director, Human Rights and Indigenous Issues Section — a position she has held since January 2009. Ms Vegting has extensive experience within the Department and has previously served overseas in Belgium, Egypt and Greece.

Ms Vegting holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and economics from Monash University. Ms Vegting speaks French.
