Biography

In Canberra, Dr Forster has held a range of positions including Director Fiji Task Force, Director Pacific Regional Section, Director of AUSMIN05 and Deputy Director, Staffing Operations Section. Before her appointment to Laos, Dr Forster was Director, Consular Policy & Training Section.

Overseas, Dr Forster has served as Deputy Head of Mission in Dhaka and as Second Secretary in Brunei. Dr Forster also served with the Commonwealth Secretariat in London from 1997 to 2000.

Dr Forster holds a BA (Hons) and PhD from Monash University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from ANU. She is married with two children.
