Working Together: New Zealand Participation in Australian Ministerial Councils
Commonwealth-State Ministerial Councils and other fora currently facilitate consultation and cooperation between governments in specific policy areas, initiate, develop and monitor policy reform jointly in these areas, and take joint action in the resolution of issues that arise between governments. Ministerial Councils typically meet once or twice a year, although they may also settle issues by correspondence.
