Stakeholder Activities

As part of the efforts by Parties of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations to promote the exchange of views among stakeholders, Malaysia is pleased to host the following stakeholder activities at the framework of the Eighteenth Round of the TPP negotiations.

Stakeholder Forum:

This event, which will take place on 20th July 2013 (Saturday) from 08:30 to 13:00, is designed for stakeholders to make presentations on issues related to the TPP negotiations.

If you are interested in making a presentation at the Stakeholder Forum, please contact Mr. Peter Brian M. Wang (pbrian@miti.gov.my) or Mr. Lim Wei Urn (limweiurn@miti.gov.my). After the registration period has concluded, the final schedule of presentations will be sent to the email provided.

Venue will be on Level 3 of the Pacific Sutera Hotel.

Stakeholder Briefing

This event, which will take place on 20th July 2013 (Saturday) from 15:00 to 16:00, is hosted by the TPP Chief Negotiators and seeks to update stakeholders on TPP developments. This forum will provide stakeholders the opportunity to raise issues of interest in the negotiations.

Venue will be on Level 3 of the Pacific Sutera Hotel.

Cocktail Reception

This event, which will take place on 20th July 2013 (Saturday) at 19:00, is hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia.

Venue will be at the Banquet Hall, Level 2 of the Pacific Sutera Hotel.

Registration

Registration is required for all stakeholders and is open until 5th July 2013. Interested stakeholders are requested to register at: http://tppregistration2013.miti.gov.my/registration

Badges will be issued for all registered stakeholders based on the registration information provided and will be required for entry to all stakeholders' activities. Registered stakeholders can collect their badges at the registration desk located in the Magellan Sutera Resort on 19 July 2013 from 08:00 to 18:00. Stakeholders will be responsible for covering all of their own expenses.

Further Information

Access to Negotiations: Only TPP delegates will have access to the negotiating areas, including corridors and break areas. Therefore, stakeholders will only be given access to common areas at the Magellan Sutera Resort.

Hard Copies of Relevant Documents: The host will accept hard copies of TPP relevant documents from stakeholders and deliver them to the negotiators. For further information, please contact Mr. Peter Brian M. Wang (pbrian@miti.gov.my) or Mr. Lim Wei Urn (limweiurn@miti.gov.my).

Additional Stakeholders Activities: Due to limited resources, the host will not be able to provide assistance in organizing additional stakeholder activities.

Security: For security reasons, all delegates and stakeholders are subject to property inspections before entering TPP conference space.
