Expo 2000
Quality indicator
- Ministerial and stakeholder satisfaction with the implementation process, and the degree to which a positive image of Australia is projected internationally and Australias profile raised.

- Number of stakeholders, sponsors, and visitors to displays and participating in business development program, and number of performances by Australian artists.
The Australian pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hanover (JuneOctober 2000) entailed considerable preparatory work by the department, and ministers were pleased with the initial attendance figures. By the end of June the number of visitors to the Australian pavilion was well over 500 000, more than 20 percent of all visitors to the Expo site. Ministers expressed considerable satisfaction with the preparation and outcomes achieved for Australia at the Expo, with Mr Vaile describing the number of visitors attracted to the pavilion as an exceptional achievement during his visit to the pavilion in June.

1 Federal Government and State and Territory Governments: Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, Victoria, Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory.
