The AusAID Workplace Diversity program achieved these key
goals during the review period:
- launching AusAIDs Workplace Diversity Program
1997- 2000. The program is consistent with the Public
Service Commissioners Guidelines on Managing
Workplace Diversity
- training all available Workplace Diversity Contact
Officers to explain the implications of new government
reforms in this area
- offering three scholarships to Aboriginal people to
fund their final year of tertiary study during 1998
- increasing the participation rate of women in senior
officer ranks from 34 per cent to 37 per cent
- increasing the overall participation rate of women
from 47.9 per cent to 49.4 per cent.
