Using funds provided under the department’s Direct Aid Program, the high commission in Accra, Ghana contributed to the purchase of a Scan Optics microscope (made in Adelaide). The microscope was donated to the eye clinic at Kete Krachi Hospital and will allow local doctors to perform cataract operations.
