Australia-Korea Foundation
The Australia - Korea Foundation (AKF) was established by the Australian Government in 1992 to develop contacts and exchanges between the peoples of Australia and Korea. The Foundation promotes people-to-people and institutional links covering the spectrum of Australia's relations with Korea. This includes education, science and technology, commerce and industry, arts, the media and sport. It administers and funds projects and programs which will assist in achieving its purposes and aims.

Australia-Korea Foundation general grants round is now open
The Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF) is now seeking expressions of interest for general grants funding for the 2008-09 financial year. AKF grants are intended to provide seed funds for innovative proposals relevant to the objectives of the Foundation.
The expression of interest round will close on Friday 15 August, 2pm AEST.
2009 Australia Korea Internship Program (AKIP)
The Australia Korea Internship Program (AKIP) is an initiative of the Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF). The program is managed by the Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific (RIAP) at University of Sydney, in conjunction with the Korea-Australia Foundation (KAF) in Korea.
RIAP is currently inviting students to apply for the AKIP which offers an exceptional opportunity to gain experience in business overseas as well as an insight into Korean contemporary society and culture.
Students selected as interns will gain international work experience by spending two months in either a local or multinational Korean corporation.
Interns will be unpaid in relation to their work but will receive a general living allowance.
Applications close on 4 August 2008.
